About Us

Dad's In Motion was an event created by LeAnn Flores while she was working at a birthing center. LeAnn noticed many fathers coming in and asking for resources, only to find there weren't many available. Recognizing the need for more support for fathers in the community, LeAnn organized an event to gather various resources and bring fathers together under one roof to support and show them love. Inspired by her late uncles, with the help of family and friends, LeAnn successfully put together a vendor event in just three months. Utilizing her background in film, she also created a photo shoot campaign to promote the event and the mission of Dad's In Motion. LeAnn"s inspiration also stemmed from the many community events her family attended during her childhood, which left lasting impressions on her. This early experience reinforced her belief in the power of community and the importance of providing support for families. Six months after the initial event, LeAnn and her mentor, Shawn Robinson, have been working closely together to plan the next event and explore other ways to bring fathers together to support and celebrate them. Their ongoing efforts aim to continue building a strong community of active and supported fathers, ensuring that the legacy of Dad's In Motion thrives and expands.
